Aims

The aim of Stressuless Corporate Complementary Therapy is to provide employees across the spectrum with the opportunity to access certain treatments during their working day and so taking away one of the most common barriers of receiving such treatments - finding the extra essential time.

Stressuless has many years of experience in this profession to draw from, working with numerous clients from all professions. These clients have generically stated that part of the reason they feel the need to use a massage therapist relates to the constant need to juggle their ever increasing work loads with their life at home and socially.

For some it was down to the actual activity of being at work i.e. sitting in front of a PC for long hours or dealing with stressful situations. This generally results in high levels of stress being produced.

Therefore, as similar patterns emerged when treating clients with therapeutic massage, Stressuless realised and understood what was actually needed – namely, to supply a small range of similar treatments in their work place to help begin to eradicate their problem at the source of the cause. The benefits and advantages to the client were very clear.

Objectives

Sarah (Stressuless) requires little time, little space and virtually no company financial outlay. With company approval to facilitate this, her objective will be to provide big changes in staff general health and well being through the application of these therapies.

Also, by raising awareness of how damaging to health stress can be and the value of helping yourself to achieve improvements, this, in turn will give a positive effect in the work place both mentally and physically.

Sarah Woodrow qualified as a beauty therapist in 1982 and worked for over five years as Manageress in a Norwich salon before embarking on opening her first beauty salon in Holt in 1987.
She then opened a second salon in Cromer in 1989. The Cromer salon was sold in 1995 and the Holt salon sold in 2006.

In over 18 years, Sarah only ever employed nine staff for the two salons in total - a fact Sarah is proud of. Two of her staff subsequently bought the businesses from her.

In 1997 Sarah qualified as a tutor and has taught for Adult Education, Rural Norfolk Federation and City College, Norwich. She has been involved in many large professional exhibitions around the country delivering talks and demonstrations. Audiences have ranged up to 600 people.
